Art time this morning.

I let Aidan and Everett color with the construction paper and Crayola Creativity tub this morning. I knew it would be messy. I thought I was prepared.
I was wrong! Now my dining room chairs, floor, and bits of the wall are 'artwork'.
And Everett has decided that he wants to joing the military when he's older. He likes wearing camo paint.

Thank goodness it washed out in the shower! :)

Grandpa's Birthday

We forgot to get the camera out till the cake was half gone. But the kids had fun singing happy birthday (as always) and devouring the pizze! Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Snow Day 09

Aaron took the kids to Mt. Hood with the Girl Scouts for a snow fun day. And by "the kids" I mean Beccah and Aidan. Everett doesn't like being cold, so him and Rohnan stayed home with me.
The big kids all had fun though. Aidan got to go tubing with his friend Cooper and Beccah got to go with Emma, and I think that was the highlight of their trip! Aaron said he went with Aidan and they flew down the hill!

More Rohnan

I can't believe he's 1 already!!

Rhonan's First Birthday Party

At least the girls posed!
Rohnan chose the thread, so he will have long life. He liked playing with the money and pens though, too.

And he really liked the apples. Wouldn't touch the cupcakes I made, but he carried the apples around till the party was over. He liked his outfit too. Tried to put it back on after we took it off, even the hat!

Biker Boys

Grandma got them matching biker jackets for Christmas. We dressed them up and took them to the mall and got all sorts of comments on what tough little boys we have. Interestingly, they only get comments when they are together! It must be a 'things are better in pairs' mojo.

Everett needs a Haircut

Instead of cutting, Beccah and I thought it would be more fun to put in pig tails and take lots of pictures! :) We think he looks just like Beccah did when she was little.

Chocolate Covered Pretzels

I know, I'm a little behind on the blog. Those chocolate covered pretzels were SO good! Even Rhonan loved 'em:

Rats!

We have an animal of some sort that has found a way into the heater ducts in our crawl space. yuck! So I set a live trap for it in the crawl space in hopes of solving our 'mouse' problem. Only to come home late last night and hear a scurrying in the living room. Sasha pointed me to the fireplace (its a gas insert). Sure enough, it was under the fire place and it had come into the living room and grabbed one of Aidan's pajama tops that had (somehow) ended up on the floor. The pajama top was pulled half way into the grate at the bottom of the fireplace where the rodent had started chewing pieces off of it! They were a nice pair of flannel pjs that he got for Christmas!!
So now I think this is not a mouse. It must be more rat sized, or maybe possum sized... Mice can't pull articles of clothes, can they?? So now I don't think my live trap will work, and I have no desire to crawl around on my hands and knees in the muddy crawlspace with an animal living in the ducts over my head.
I know it's building a nest though, there are pieces of insulation coming up the vents when the heater turns on...

Seems like everytime there is construction in the area we get a new friend in the crawl space...

Found!

I found the cover to the battery compartment on my mouse! It was on the floor of the pantry... yeah, I have no idea how it made it all the way over there either. hhmmm, it might the cover to Aaron's mouse... but since I found it, it's all mine! hehe

Playing out back

We went to the park today and played. It was great! Rohnan sat in the stroller because Mama couldn't find his shoes, Aidan showed Everett how to climb up the bars and go down the slide. Mama forgot the camera.
We played for a good 20 mins before Everett got bored and tried to run away. Aidan had to 'go' and they were doing construction on the port-a-potty, so I thanked God boys can go standing up and let him pee in the grass next to the car. He thought that was great!! I thought not having to change urine soaked jeans was great!! :)
Everett was not done playing outside when we got home. Straight to the backyard to find worms. Mama got the camera out:

Now I have to clean the floor, they forgot to take their shoes off when they came in...

Yesterday, when I tried to do Housework

Rohnan didn't like the fact that I was cleaning and ignoring him:

But he did like it when I followed him around with the camera:

Everett got on his chopper and scooted around the house 'fixing' what I just cleaned up:

Today I decided to vacuum (in the hopes of finding my mouse battery compartment cover). I found the missing battery! I also learned that my Kirby can suck up AA batteries. And the motor gets hot enough that it will melt AA batteries that it sucks up. Lesson of the day: If your vacuum starts to smell funny, turn it off immediately! Luckily no battery acid leaked onto anything (that I'm aware of) and now I'm grateful for the small fortune I spent on the pumpkin scented Yankee candle I bought last Christmas.

Beccah and Me

I thought I'd share what's been happening lately. Google broke and I can't upload my blog directly to my jillion.org website, so I've been trying to fix it and haven't been able to post for a while. I finally gave up and now I'll just host it on blogspot. The upside is I have more template options to choose from!

This picture was taken at Beccah's Girl Scout meeting last night. After school got out at 3pm, I loaded all the kids into the car and went to the gym. Aidan had Tae Kwon Do from 3:45-4:20, then a break, then Beccah had Tae Kwon Do from 5-6pm. I stuck the younger two in day care from 3:40-5:30. Spent the time Aidan was in class making Beccah do her homework and streching out because I was determined to start working out. When Aidan's class was over, we had to run (and I do mean run) to the bathroom because he had to go! Then we played together during the break because Aidan is too little and Beccah is too irresponsible to leave them alone in the gym while I walk on the track overlooking the gym. Then Aidan and I played basketball and ran around the gym on the lines while Beccah was in her class. At 5:30 we went to the day care to get the little two and then back to the gym so I could chase Aidan and Everett around. Luckily I brought the backpack so I didn't have to chase the baby too. (The Ergo Baby backpack is a life saver, Thanks Kim!) I worked up a sweat, but I don't think I actually 'worked out'...
After loading the kids back into the car, dropping the boys off at home with Aaron, switching cars (in case Aaron needed to take boys somewhere in the Odyssey), loading up all the stuff I needed for the scout meeting, Beccah and I headed over to Kim's house. So this is me after a full day of running around doing errands, chasing children, and toting kids to activities. I sorta worked out, no shower, no makeup, covered in kid stains, and in my work out clothes! I think it could be worse!
Of course Beccah always manages to look cute, even when she doesn't brush her hair...

Good Looks

I know I'm biased, but I just love how cute Everett is. He gives the greatest looks and his laugh is so sweet it's contagious!
This is Rohnan learning to drink from the sippy cup. He kept gurgling it out and it dribbled all down is cheeks and neck to the floor. He thought it was great fun! Now that I cut his hair, I can tell he has my ears, they stick out! :)

Leftover Christmas Dinner Pie

I thought it turned out yummy! Pie shell filled with turkey, squash, and gravy, topped with mashed potatoes.
