Aidan Drawing

Aidan doesn't draw alot, so I thought I'd encourage him by letting him use the white board. Here he is showing me how he drew our family. He told me, "Here's Rohnan, Everett, Mama, Papa, Beccah, and Aidan. And Papa is wearing a diaper!" Not kidding!! He has quite the sense of humor! hehe

Driving Mama Nuts!

So I spent most of yesterday getting ready for the Girl Scout meeting that I decided to host at our house (yeah, I don't know what I was thinking either). I took everything that I was sick of looking at because it wasn't put away or organized better, stuck it in a box (or two) and shoved it out in the garage. The house looks GREAT now! I even got Aaron to vaccuum the floors before the meeting so the girls wouldn't be sitting in fluffy balls of dog fur.
The best part was waking up this morning to a (mostly) clean house! Then the boys got up... Rohnan is feeling a bit out of it because he has two more teeth breaking through:

Everett

I had to chase him around the back yard to get a good picture, but here's the oh-so-cute headshot I was looking for! :)

Mac & Cheese

This past weekend we gave Rohnan his first taste of Mac & Cheese. He fed himself and loved it! Here's the evidence:

Darth Vador

We have begun shopping for Halloween costumes! Aidan was insistent that he was going to be Darth Vader this year, so we went to Toys R Us last night and found it. He was in heaven, they have a huge wall display of Star Wars paraphernalia right as you walk in the door. He spent about 20 minutes oogling all of the toys before Everett decided we needed to visit the bike section in the back. Here he is, in his new costume as soon as we got home:
Rohnan thought it was funny. He doesn't know that he's going to be R2-D2 if we can find a costume for him! :)
We also got a Padme costume for Beccah, Chewbacca for Everett, and I'll be keeping an eye out for a large brown cloak so Aaron can be Obi-wan. hehe, Aidan can't wait to go trick or treating!

Poor Roomba

Everett has been the bane of the Roomba, causing me to have it replaced no less than 3 times. He is now giving his position of Roomba antogonist to Rohnan.

Yay for Fall!

Only one slightly runny nose left in the family! I'm crossing my fingers for a winter without constant colds.

I saw an ad that Gap kids is looking for new kids to feature in their ads. They are accepting photos to be voted on and they winners get a free wardrobe. As much as I would LOVE free clothes from Gap, I don't think I want my kids to be models. Too much pressure. But it inspired me to take really cute headshots! :) Everett didn't want to smile at me and Beccah was at school, so here's Aidan and Rohnan:

Still sick....

Rohnan is more sick today than yesterday. :(
He has a runny nose. He doesn't like it to be wiped. He has a cough that makes me feel ssoooo sorry for him. Until he bites me because he can't breastfeed with a stuffy nose... Did I mention I hate it when the kids get sick?
I hope the sore throat I feel coming on doesn't mean I'm going to be sick too. Going to drink tea and honey till I feel better. I'll add some more pictures in a day or two if we all start feeling better.

Morning

My wonderful, amazing, sweet husband let me sleep in today! He even got Beccah ready for school so I wouldn't have to pull my hair out wondering why it takes 30 minutes to put one shoe on! The Everett and Rohnan are still sick today. I hope they get over it fast, I hate having to share the bed Everett. He likes to sleep ALL over the bed.

He stole me coffee!! Posted by Picasa

Playing in the Sprinkler

From 9-8-08
Last week I got the boys dressed in their swim shorts and turned on the sprinkler. The shorts didn't stay on long, cause obviously it's more fun naked, but they had a blast. Rohnan decided to sleep through it. :)

Sick kids make me cranky.

Happy Birthday to our friend Luke! His lovely wife Michelle threw a cocktail party for him last night and Aaron and I had ALOT of fun. I love chocolate martinis! So sorry you don't Luke! :)

When we got home from the party we put the kids to bed, then settled in to sleep off the martinis. Suddenly, the youngest two woke up... crying... refusing to settle down. I think I got all of 4 hours sleep last night. Not sure if Aaron fared much better, but he's taking a nap now in case we have a repeat tonight. I hope we don't get sick, too.

I went grocery shopping this afternoon and saved over $50 with coupons and store discounts, then went to the Safeway gas station and got 50c off each gallon of gas! I've been doing the coupon thing the last 3 times I've gone to the grocery store. It's a huge pain in the neck, but it's nice to hear the beep, beep, beep as the cashier scans them all in and the total plummets. I'm going to check at the end of the month and see if coupon clipping has actually taken a chunk out of our grocery bill, or if it's just a big pain in the neck. It's very time consuming, and time is something I have very little of lately.

First Day of School!

Beccah woke up as soon as the sun came up, was dressed and ready to go at 7am. She stood by my bed and said, "Mama, is it too early to leave?"
I wish she was that easy to get up every morning!
I drove her to school and we found her classroom. She's on the second floor this year! She gets to sit next to her friend Sabrina from Girl Scouts, and her best friend Sterling is at the table behind her! She's very excited about this year.
Her teacher seemed really nice too, maybe I'll be able to find some time to volunteer this year.

Labor Day

We took the boys and Sasha to Seaside, OR for Labor Day. Amazingly, it wasn't crowded! I heard the weatherman forcast rain all day, but it ended up being sunny and beautiful, so we really lucked out. We stopped by McDonald's for lunch so the kids could have happy meals. We will never do that again! The kids were happy, but Aaron and I hated our food! It was aweful! bleh!
We hit the beach and built sand castles and played in the water for a good hour or more. Rohnan tried his first sand pie and thought it was lick smacking good! Everett was being very careful to not get wet, until he tripped, fell in the water, and then had a wave crash over him! Poor guy was really mad!
I was dreading Sasha doing her business on the beach since there were alot of people around, but I had a plan for bagging it and taking it the trash can. She decided she didn't want her poo in a bag though; she did her thing in the ocean! Guess it was nice that I didn't have to pick it up, and it cleared a bunch of people away from us! lol
We had dinner at a hole in the wall that had outside seating. Worked out great and Sasha got to eat with us! It always makes me happy when we can take the kids and the dog out with us.

Beach Trip to Bandon, OR

Here are the pictures from the family get together in Banton. We had a blast and it was our first real vacation with all of our kids! No one got injured or lost and we got to visit with family that we don't get to see often enough. I did not include the pics of the kids at the beach in their birthday suits. I'll have to print out the tasteful ones and mail them. hehehe

Video of Everett

Just testing this out!

Yay it works! But the video file is so large it takes forever to stream... I have no idea how to fix that. Any suggestions would be well recieved. :)
